Karah Clifford

My name is Karah Clifford, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) providing in-office, teleconference and video services to clients from around the Bay Area. If you have decided to seek help for either yourself or a loved one, then choosing a therapist who you are comfortable with is the most important next step.  My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, nurturing relationship that supports the social and emotional well-being of my clients. 

 

 I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Arizona before obtaining my Master's in Community Counseling at Sonoma State University.  

 

I began working in a private practice setting at the Community Counseling Center in Cotati, CA where I worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and postpartum depression.

 

During this time I also began working at the Diabetes Society in Santa Clara where I began working with youth and their families living with diabetes in a therapeutic capacity.  During my time with the Diabetes Society I participated in their educational camping programs, facilitated therapy groups, as well as individual and family therapy.  

 

For the past 8 years I have worked with special education schools providing individual, group and family therapy for a variety of mental health needs including depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar-related disorders, mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and ADHD.
